The evening will feature the Marian Anderson Vocal Competition finalists under the stars of the Planetarium. Three prize winners will be chosen by a panel of esteemed judges. Following the concert, guests will be escorted to Franklin Hall for cocktails, dining from sumptuous cuisine and dancing to the music of the Marian Anderson Celebrity Orchestra playing American classics. Invited celebrities will perform during the evening.

MAHS is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and continuing the legacy of the famed contralto and Philadelphia native, Marian Anderson. By operating both the Marian Anderson Residence Museum and Birthplace, our goal is to continue mentoring and providing financial resources to young vocal artists.

MAHS Scholars, Stevens and DeBoseMA Scholar Elizabeth Stevens will be performing at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D. C. Wednesday, February 13th @ 7pm.
MA Scholar Sequina DeBose will be graduating from the Mahattan School of Music and her graduation recital is February 23rd in NYC.
The Marian Anderson Historical Society, Inc. (MAHS , MA or the Society) is dedicated to preserving and continuing the legacy of the lady from Philadelphia, Contralto Marian Anderson. The MAHS operates the Marian Anderson Residence Museum where diverse programs introduce Marian Anderson's contributions in the classical and opera arenas to multi-cultural audiences of all ages, with special emphasis on youth.

Nestled on a beautiful and quaint block in the South Philadelphia section of the city, the historical home of The Marian Anderson Historical Society, a registered "historic site" (Philadelphia Historical Commission, April 8, 2004) is home to Marian Anderson's memorabilia, books, rare photos and films of the late contralto's life and career.
